including complete refrets (yes with binding too), and much, much more.
When you bring your guitar in for repair or customization, you can
expect great quality work and surprisingly quick turnaround for a very
fair price.
Need your pickups replaced? We are a fully authorized dealer for
Seymour Duncan, EMG, Rio Grande, and Lace, and we can help you create
that elusive tone.
Custom Shop Guitars & Basses
We build guitars both from scratch and from existing parts, and
those guitars are quickly gaining a reputation as being some of the
best-playing, best-sounding values in the area. There are always
several Fat Cat Customs available in our store to try, and we guarantee
that you'll find some exciting surprises among them.
Many of our Custom Shop guitars are built to order for our customers
and never make it to our sales floor. From finish to pickups to neck
profile to body style, if you can dream it, we can probably build it
for less than you might think. Give us a call or an email if you would
like to discuss creating the guitar of your dreams!

Amplifier Repair
We also offer amplifier repair, which is performed off-site.
Turnaround time on amplifiers is usually a minimum of ten days,
sometimes more if weird parts are involved. The quality of work is
excellent and many satisfied customers have remarked that their amp
sounds better after a vacation with us than it did when it was new.
(This is particularly true if tubes are involved.)
There is a $75 bench fee for amplifier diagnosis & estimate, which
is of course applicable to the final cost of the repair itself.
Hours, Picking Up, & Dropping Off
We typically have a technician on-site Tuesday through Saturday,
though if you're in the midst of a crisis we always suggest you give us
a call before driving an hour to get here. We feel the pain of the
gigging musician and will always do our level best to help when
emergencies arise.
Guitars and amplifiers can be dropped off to us anytime during regular business hours: M-F 11-8, Sat & Sun 11-6.
When your guitar or amp is ready for pickup, we will give you a call.
Of course you are welcome to call for a status update anytime, but we
promise: we will always give you a ring when your job is ready.
Thanks for checking out our Repair & Custom Shop!
